Women's Network for Family and Infant Support, LLC specializing in well-baby, NICU and medically fragile infants. Provides expert support for breastfeeding, latching, pumping, bottle feeding and more. Personalized consultations help parents confidently navigate feeding challenges, both during and after birth.

Our certified CPR, First Aid, and safety training provides individuals, families, or businesses with life-saving skills. Offered as a stand-alone session or bundled with other services, training is available for individuals, groups, or organizations. Certified programs meet industry standards, offering more value and credibility than non-certified training.
We offer family-centered events, educational classes, and support groups to help parents and caregivers build confidence and community. From hands-on workshops to group discussions, these sessions provide guidance on breastfeeding, infant care, and family wellness. Perfect for new parents, caregivers and community members seeking connection & support.

Not all lactation support providers have the same training or certification. Here’s a breakdown:
1. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) The most widely recognized professional credential for lactation consultants. Requires rigorous education, clinical experience, and passing an internationally standardized exam. IBCLCs are trained to handle complex breastfeeding situations, medically fragile infants, NICU transitions, and provide evidence-based guidance for all feeding methods.
2. Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) Provides foundational lactation education and counseling skills. Training is shorter than IBCLC and focuses on supporting healthy mothers and babies with typical breastfeeding challenges.
3. La Leche League Leader (LLL Leader) Volunteers trained to provide peer support and education to breastfeeding families. Focuses on guidance, encouragement, and community support rather than medical or clinical intervention.
4. Other titles (e.g., Peer Counselor, Lactation Educator, etc.) Training and scope vary widely. Some offer great support for common questions, but may not be qualified for complex or medically sensitive situations.
Why it matters: Choosing a credentialed professional—especially an IBCLC (like myself)—ensures you are getting expert, evidence-based support, particularly for challenging feeding situations, NICU babies, or medically complex conditions.
